Supplementary Provisions to the Interim Measures for the Administration of Chinese-foreign Equity Joint and Cooperative Joint Medical Institutions

| Decree of the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Commerce No. 57 The Supplementary Provisions to the Interim Measures for the Administration of Chinese-foreign Equity Joint and Cooperative Joint Medical Institutions, which was deliberated and adopted by Ministry of Health and Ministry of Commerce, is hereby promulgated and shall come into force as of January 1, 2008. Chen Zhu, Minister of Health Chen Deming, Minister of Commerce December 30, 2007 Supplementary Provisions to the Interim Measures for the Administration of Chinese-foreign Equity Joint and Cooperative Joint Medical Institutions To promote the establishment of a closer economic partnership between Hong Kong or Macao and the mainland, in accordance with the Supplementary Agreement IV to the Mainland and Hong Kong Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement and Supplementary Agreement IV to the Mainland and Macao Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement as approved by the State Council, the total amount of investment of equity joint and cooperative joint medical institutions established in the mainland by Hong Kong service suppliers and Macao service suppliers stipulated in the Interim Measures for the Administration of Chinese-foreign Equity Joint and Cooperative Joint Medical Institutions(Decree No. 11 of the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Commerce) shall be supplemented as follows: 1. The total amount of investment of equity joint and cooperative joint medical institutions established in the mainland by Hong Kong service suppliers and Macao service suppliers shall not be less than 10 million yuan. 2. Hong Kong service suppliers and Macao service suppliers herein shall be in accordance with the definition of \"service suppliers\" stipulated in Mainland and Hong Kong Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement and Mainland and Macao Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement respectively and shall be in accordance with relevant regulations. 3. Other issues on establishing equity joint and cooperative joint medical institutions in the mainland by Hong Kong service suppliers and Macao service suppliers shall still be subject to the Interim Measures for the Administration of Chinese-foreign Equity Joint and Cooperative Joint Medical Institutions. 4. These Provisions shall come into force as of January 1, 2008. | |
