MOFCOM: China’s Service Outsourcing Enterprises Have Exceeded 6600

| Chen Jian, vice minister of the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) said at the “service outsourcing series activities” of the 13th CIFIT held in Xiamen on September 9 that as of June of this year, Chinese enterprises with undertaking the international service outsourcing business as leading have exceeded 6600, with the employees of more than 1.21 million.
Chen expressed that service outsourcing is featured with high information technology, high added value, low resource consumption and strong ability of employment. Great efforts are made to develop the service outsourcing, which will be beneficial to China’s improvement of trade structure, transformation of the mode of economic development, promotion of regional coordinated development and widening the channels of employment of graduates.
Chen introduced that under the background of the international financial crisis, China’s service outsourcing industry has still made rapid growth. In the first half of 2009, the executive amount of China undertaking international service outsourcing contract amounted to USD2.56b, up 32.5% year-on-year, with the newly-increased jobs of 297,000.
